Winton Ripper Pipe Layer

The W-RP01 Winton 4.5cm Ripper & Pipe Layer is a versatile and efficient tool, ideal for smallholdings and general groundwork tasks. Designed specifically for laying water pipes or armoured cables, this implement is a practical solution for small-scale installations where flexibility, ease of use, and efficiency are key.

Capable of handling flexible pipe or cable up to 4.5cm in diameter, the W-RP01 is best suited for materials that can bend easily—please contact us for advice if you’re unsure about the suitability of your pipe or cable. The standard working depth is around 45cm, but depending on your soil type and tractor size, the tool can reach a maximum depth of 60cm. Adjusting the working depth is straightforward: simply unbolt and reposition the ripper section at your preferred height.

To operate, lower the tractor’s linkage arms while moving forward slowly, allowing the ripper to dig into the ground. Once the desired depth is reached, feed the pipe or cable through the guide while continuing forward. A second person may be needed to assist in feeding the pipe or cable during this process. When finished, lift the ripper out of the ground and drive over the ripped soil with your tractor’s tyres for a clean, tidy finish.

Reversible blade

The blade is reversible, extending its lifespan, and can also be replaced easily when worn. This cost-effective feature reduces downtime and maintenance costs. Additionally, the pipe laying attachment is fully removable, allowing the unit to be used independently as a standard ripper.
