Equipped with hydraulic side-shift and tilt functions, the mower moves horizontally and vertically to suit your mowing needs. You’ll need two double-acting spool valves on your tractor to control the four hydraulic hoses. These operate the mower’s side offset and the vertical angle of the cutting head. This means you can easily cut alongside fences, trees, and hedgerows. Tilt the mower down to cut into ditches or banks, or angle it upward to trim the sides of low hedges. This wide range of movement makes the D-VOLPE120 perfect for complex landscapes.

Built for performance, the mower features a strong gearbox and heavy-duty hammer flails. These flails handle thick grass and tough weeds with ease. When used regularly on shorter growth, the mower also delivers a fine, lawn-like finish. The hammer blades are mounted in a spiral layout on a cylindrical rotor. This design creates an efficient cutting action that produces finer clippings and reduces resistance during operation. Additionally, this spiral layout improves balance and reduces strain on the mower.

Belt Drive

The D-VOLPE120 uses a belt-driven system with three strong drive belts that transfer power from the tractor to the rotor shaft. This setup ensures smooth operation and helps protect internal components by absorbing shock loads. Compared to rotary or topper mowers, this flail mower performs better on uneven or sloped ground.

To enhance cutting control, the mower includes an adjustable rear roller. You can easily raise or lower it, along with adjusting the tractor’s top link arm, to change the cutting height. This roller prevents blade scalping and helps deliver an even finish. Additionally, two adjustable side skids allow further fine-tuning of the cut height, ensuring optimal performance across different terrains.
